Lets discuss general health care that we being a pet parent notice while playing or handling our pet.
Without being aware of it , every time we handle our pets we are assessing its health status.
A healthy animal is alert, ready to exercise, constantly observing humans in its environment and generally is a creature of habit. Deviation from normal habits and character may be a cause for concern.
A healthy animal will not have the following symptoms :
* Unpleasant or new odors
* Discharge from the mouth, nose, ears, eyes, body or genital areas.
* Loss of appetite
* Increase in thirst and frequency of urination
* Diarrhea or vomiting
* Difficulty in moving
* Breathing problems
* Unwillingness to exercise
KEEP AN EYE IN THESE SYMPTOMS IF THEY SHOW ANY OF THESE SIGNS , THEY NEED A VET URGENTLY.

Outside their home environment many animals feel stressed. Signs of anxiety and stress in animal include :
* Excessive salivation
* Shivering
* Aggression/fear
* Rapid breathing / panting
* Rapid pulse and heart rate
* Pale mucous membranes
If an animal has a medical condition it respond in one or more of the above listed ways when in strange surroundings. Always take this into account when handling your or others pets.
Grooming daily is very important to know such changes in pets.
Grooming provides an opportunity to check and assist in the maintenance of an animal's health.
