Our journey ...
Everyone has always asked me this " how come this sudden love for animals ?? "
Today i took out time to write about my journey towards my life KASSHIKA'S PAMPERED PAWS.
This started with 2011 Dec when i met my sisters pet POLO a cute Lhasa Apso who showed me a complete new world about animals , their love , their bonding and in two days i was attached to him that now all i wanted was a pet . I some how managed to brainwash my mother and she finally got ready " ok fine go get one but i wont take care" said mom tired by me mentally torturing her day and night that i do not have a sibling so i must get one pet.
The Big day came FEB 7TH i clearly remember when i went to take my baby KIWI a lhasa apso .
I forgot to mention that day i went shopping for him , got him bed, toy, toilet pot thinking my brother is coming home ( mind you all human stuff as i had no idea about dogs).
"BOW BOW" Kiwi came to us running for a moment we got very scared, he was hungry ,the cruel breeder never gave him food.
Mom got scared " give the money we wont take him "
I was standing there sad that mom will not agree but then something happened.
Dad agreed " Lets take him i will take care and tomorrow is Sunday i will take care of him "
Saturday evening my brother came home and we got him in a cage as we were too scared.
He barked at me
" bow bow give me food " i give him royal canine as guided by the breeder. He had as if he dint get food all day and that day i understood breeders are cruel and all they care about is money.
We took care of him all night checking if he is fine.
He never peed or pooed on his bed and we loved that fact.
He was full of ticks and fleas and i cleaned him everyday.
i went to many vets but dint actually like the way they treated him. No love for animals, only money was the motive and somewhere behind my mind i knew this was the field i want to enter.
A day came Kiwi got very sick and had to be given injections and vet wanted to tie his mouth up by nylon rope which horrified me and i challenged the vet that if this is how you work and hurt pets , i will open my own clinic and show you.
There was nobody to guide me how to brush the pet, how to take care nobody.
But i had google with me . I forgot to mention KIWI had become mom's life who initially dint want him.
April 2012 i searched and found my calling for Pet grooming and a school in Delhi would teach me.
Then i convinced my parents and got ready to fly to Delhi.
After my college 1st year exams in May, i was ready to begin my pet grooming journey.
I learnt about work there, learnt about peoples mentality , learnt how people kept pets as a status symbol. Those few months in Delhi was a lesson i had to learn to grow in life.
I had never stayed alone all my life and those months were very difficult. New city, new people , 90% cheaters and then you do not have your family to protect you.
Sleepless nights specially cause i missed Kiwi.
My course was coming to an end and I met my new doll Katie a cute Maltese who slept on my lap and i knew she was coming home.
So Aug i was back in the city with my Katie and whole new experience and a course.
You can say a whole new kashika.
Our opening Day came 1st SEP 2012, THE DAY I WAS WAITING FOR.
And thats how my journey began to the new world of animals rather a new world of Love.
