When you lose a family member!!

28th SEP 2017... a date I will never forget...

We all treat pets like a baby and kinu was like my own child ... who came to our life and left us empty-handed.

My baby crossed over the rainbow bridge because of  liver disorder or cancer the vet's couldn't judge what happened to him and he went away. My heart cries when I start talking about him and how my house is so empty without him...
In this process of he getting sick and losing him, I learned a lot of things about animals which nobody taught me or guided me .. I wanted all the pet parents to know about it before it is too late and you lose your baby.

Some useful tips to know if your pet is healthy or not.

1. Your pet's urine should be transparent and not yellow. If it's yellow or they have less water it's time for a blood test or vet checkup.

2. Your pet's nose should be always wet. If it's dry that means your pet is sick.

3. Every adult dog or cat has to be dewormed once in 3months and before that has to be given liver tonics as dewormer or vaccines reduce immunity.

4. The stool color of your pet should be brown, not any other color.  It should be solid and brown. if not then your pet is not healthy.

5. Biggest MYTH that animals are carnivores. They are omnivores, they need the balanced diet which includes green vegetables, fruits, rice, chicken. STOP FEEDING YOUR PET ONLY RICE AND CHICKEN OR CHICKEN LIVER.

6.  Every time you get your pet vaccination done, make sure your vet checks your pet and then gives vaccines, coz any wrong vaccine can kill your pet.

7. ANIMALS VOMITING IS NOT NORMAL. Its high time we understand our animals should not vomit if they do it's not normal it's our duty to get them checked and if your vet says it's normal please change your vet.

8. Make sure your pet is getting enough exercise and is not getting obese. Obesity leads to many diseases.

9. Do not give overdose of antibiotics, find out homeopathy alternative or Bach flower remedies for the same.

10. Make sure your pet is active and does not act lazy or breathes heavily when you ask them to play.

I hope all these tips will help many of you will not lose your baby like I lost my kinu.

I know he is with me and will always be. Remember your vet will not guide you all this it's only a person who lost her baby due to lack of vet facility can tell you all this.

Make your furry friend a happy friend...

15 ways to keep a dog occupied indoors

It is easy to keep a dog occupied. It is a lot harder to keep humans occupied!
Dogs are curious and wonderful beings. They like to watch and smell things. They like to explore their surroundings.
Being locked up in a room is not very good for a dog. However, even then there are ways to keep the dog occupied. Following are a few ways to keep a dog occupied indoors

Give them a knotty rope toy...
Easily available online, knotty rope toys can keep a dog occupied for hours. They attempt to untangle the knots, which keeps them busy.

A ball
Every dog loves to play with a ball. But why throw your dog just one? Give him or her plenty of colorful balls and see how the hours pass by! Do not use tennis balls as they contain harsh chemicals.

Keep your windows open...
If you are not at home and your dog is inside, then make certain to keep the doors and windows open. Dogs like to look out of windows and see things around them.

Got a balcony? Even better!
There is no better place for than a big open balcony. I have a very small balcony and even that works for my dogs. They sit there and watch the world go by. Sometimes they bark at suspicious characters loitering about! If the dogs on the street start running, then they too start running on the balcony! If a man or a woman feed the dogs, then they watch that intently.  Sometimes I feel that they wonder about why those dogs are homeless.

An ice cube
Dogs love to lick ice blocks. They keep going at it till the ice melts. Give your dog little ice cubes or an ice block to play with.

Switch on the TV and turn up the volume
By this, I don’t mean that you start watching serials! Switch to a channel like National Geographic and turn up the volume. The sounds made by various animals keep your dog occupied.

Get lots of dental chews
Dental chews are useful in two ways. They keep your dog occupied and they keep their teeth in a good condition. Invest in lots of dental chews!Image result for dental chews for dogs

Ease your dog
If your dog is hyperactive, then you can try medicines for calming them.

Walking your dog before leaving
If your dog is going to be left alone for the better part of the day, then make sure to walk them in the morning. A good walk makes them feel tired and they will get to sleep easily.

Keep away electronics from your dog
Don’t leave your dog alone with wires and cables. None of that will be left intact by the time you get back home.

Food and water dishes
Make certain that your dog has access to food and water. Without adequate food and water, your dog is more likely to attack and chew things.

Finding toys – a great game
Teach your dog the names of the toys they are playing with. For instance, my dogs know what a ball is and go crazy when I say “ball”. Then they start looking around for the ball. Once they find the ball, they get a treat each! This is both a physical and a mental workout for your dog.

Get your dog a friend
Keeping one dog is a complete delight. Keeping two dogs is a sheer delight! My Kutku was alone and lonely till my Browny came along. Now they keep each other busy.

Old socks are good
For some weird reason, dogs just love the smell of old socks. Give your dog some old socks and watch he or she gets busy.

Take your dog to the terrace

If you have access to a terrace, then take your dog there and unleash them! Watch them run around with sheer joy.

Take your dog for exciting pool parties

We arrange for pool parties and social events so don't miss to be a part of it.

A STORY OF AN ADOPTED PET WHO CHANGED THEIR LIFE ALL TOGETHER!!

It all starts and end with her by Ankita Chakraborty!!

Since childhood, I always had a desire to have a pet as my li’l sister and every time I wanted a
Dog, I was refused by my parents as it’s quite a big responsibility. Years passed by and one day my cousins happened to take a little pup home. They named her Snoopy.I was ecstatic that I could meet her every time I wanted to and somewhere my conscience of having a dog got fulfilled. Snoopy was the sweetest puppy I could have met, ever. Days went by Snoopy grew into a big girl, and perhaps the most beautiful and elegant among us.

In 2014 my cousins had to shift to Dubai for their job. It was difficult for them leaving Snoopy but at the same time it wasn’t possible for them to take her along with them. Snoopy needed a loving home. We decided to shift Snoopy with us and I was the happiest one to have done this. The initial days were quite effortful as it became immense difficulty for the poor chap to adjust with us and so did our’s. Our daily routine changed drastically. We had to be by her side the entire day as leaving her perhaps haunted her with the fear of being left alone, again . She used to get restless and barked immensely when we were out of home. We loved her cared for her selflessly, day and night. Snoopy is now the youngest and the most pampered member of my family, and a part that completes my family.
My day starts and ends with her, unlike it was a year before. We play and laugh together. Gifts and treats are a must during any festival. Every day our dad brings home something for Snoopy while returning from work. Every evening, Snoopy is always at the veranda waiting for us to return home. I too ensure that I return home as soon as possible so that I don’t have to keep my baby waiting for long. Thereafter, together we go for a walk and sometimes take Snoopy for a long drive, as she loves riding a car madly.
I am very thankful to my parents that they allowed me to take Snoopy with us and yes, we do love each other unconditionally. Today, I just can’t imagine my life without her. She is my love, my life, my everything.

Snoopy, we all love you!!

STORY OF A CAT MOTHER

A BEAUTIFUL WRITING BY SUDESNA GHOSH

CATS VS. DOGS
Anybody who knows me will agree that I am a crazy cat mother. The truth is, I was one of those ignorant people who grew up saying, “Oh, cats are so selfish unlike dogs.” I said these words after spending barely any time with my relative’s cats and of course, after hearing other adults mutter the same around me. A commonly expressed belief is that cats are sly, uncaring, selfish creatures.
Fast forward to 2012, when I was grieving for my late dog Goti – a member of our family since we’d adopted him from the street when he was barely 6 months old. My parents refused to let me adopt another dog because my mother was diagnosed with Parkinson and had limited mobility and my father was scared of going through the life and illness and death process again. “I can’t help you at all,” she said. And he said their lives were too short and it would be too hard. That’s when I started taking long walks in my neighborhood and took over feeding the resident cats from my mother.
Garby, a cat who my mother and I knew for some years, let me pick him up and bring him home one day. And then a cruel man abandoned a cat in my uncle’s neighbourhood nearby – that was our next addition to the family, Chiki. A few minutes with them both, and my parents and I were love-struck.
Cats and dogs are certainly different in their behaviour and display of emotions, but both species can give you lots of love and affection in their own ways. Here are some interesting facts about cats –
1)     Cats often make a vibratory sound called a purr. Cats purr when they are happy and relaxed. And guess what? Research says that purring can help de-stress us humans.
2)     Young cats love to play. Older ones have bouts of playful behaviour too. They like balls, hair bands, string, and can play with just about any object.
3)     Head butts, rolling around and showing you their stomachs is another way to show affection. As well as bringing you ‘gifts’ like a hunted mouse or bird if your cat goes outside.
4)     It is a myth that cats can be left alone without a worry; they get separation anxiety too. They may be independent when it comes to daily life, but relocating them from their territory for a long vacation or not providing any affection or mental stimulation can result in an upset cat.
5)     Cats don’t need to be taken for walks. Some people try to walk their cats but they rarely succeed. It’s more of a dog thing.
6)     If the cat’s bowl is empty in the middle, he may act like his food has finished. This is a habit that has no certain logic behind it. Some people think it is because cats find it difficult to eat from the sides of the bowl (because of whiskers).

Basically, a cat is a cat and a dog is a dog. Comparison is unfair.

How to keep your dogs healthy :)

10 WAYS TO KEEP YOUR DOG HEALTHY ALWAYS

From the very first day of their arrival into our homes, our dogs become as precious as our children. They no longer remain mere animals but become full-fledged family members. What makes this relationship unique is the fact that they are completely and irrevocably dependent on us. This makes it imperative that we do our best at all times and ensure that they lead healthy and happy lives. Before we delve into the ways you can take care, remember that what the internet tells you is not always true or correct. Always refer to and speak to your vet and groomer for any queries or doubts. Here are a few ways you can do this:

·       Giving the right kind of food: This changes with age as well the kind of breed that your dog is. Consult with us ( pet nutritionist) on all the permissible foods for dogs and also make a list of all things like raisins, nuts, chocolate, grapes that can be harmful for your dog. Food must be fresh, nutritious and well-balanced. Don’t entirely depend on kibble too much for there is no substitute whatsoever for freshly cooked home-made food. Even if you do feed them a lot of kibble, be aware of all the ingredients that go into it; beware of preservatives. Avoid human food as much as you can- this is important not only for health purposes but also for disciplinary purposes. Their needs are different from ours.
·       Lots of exercise: Young dogs especially need lots of exercise that helps to keep them fit and that heart pumping. If they don’t expend that boundless energy, it is only channelled towards aggression and destruction. Breeds like Labradors and Golden Retrievers are extremely energetic and need long walks everyday. Let the dog explore outside, it activates his senses and stimulates healthy brain activity. It gives you a chance to bond and get some exercise yourself.

·       Try to understand their body language: Every dog may be lacking a voice, but they manage to express all their needs and issues to us through signals from their body. It is up to us to understand and catch these signals. There may be sometimes a signal of underlying distress which may be a medical emergency. Watching and learning is the key to deepening the bond between you and your dog and to detect anything that may be wrong with them. Proper communication and understanding is massively important. You can also consult Kashika Arora the animal communicator.

·       Lots of mental stimulation: A bored dog is more prone to illnesses. Engage with your dog in various kinds of activities and games. Teach them different tricks and commands. Such engagement keeps them alert and mind buzzing.

·       Socialize with other dogs: It is important for your dog to meet and interact with its kind. It helps them to gain confidence and becomes an opportunity to learn their manners. Bring to events we organize parties , pool parties , fashion shows.

·       Visit your vet regularly: Dogs aren’t often very keen on vet visits, but they must be allowed to get used to the clinic, to being examined and being touched.

·       De-worming: It is crucial to de-worm your dog at the regular intervals and prevent them from catching any threatening illness.

·       Correct vaccinations: Only administer those vaccines to your dog that are actually relevant. Giving unnecessary vaccines only weakens their immune system and makes them prone to illnesses. Discuss this thoroughly with your vet right at the outset.

·       Proper grooming: The importance of grooming can never be stressed upon. It helps to keep away dry skin, fleas and ticks, ingrown nails, etc. Proper grooming helps them to have healthy skin and fur. We are the best in town for your grooming needs.

·       Enough water: We all know how vital it is to remain hydrated; the same goes for dogs as well. Make sure they have fresh, clean water available at all times. Keep their water and food bowls scrubbed clean always to maintain hygiene and stave off germs.
Thus, these are just a few ways by which you can work towards making your dog’s life long and healthy. Read lots of books on them, talk to other dog parents, vets, groomers, so as to learn more and more about dogs. There is absolutely no end to the amount you can learn about them everyday just by making a small effort.

PET GROOMING OUR USP

WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO GROOM YOUR PET DAILY?

The importance of daily grooming of dogs and cats is often taken lightly. Grooming isn’t only to make your pet look well kept and beautiful, but is also integral for their overall health.  Brushing your pet’s coat and its teeth will do them a whole lot of good in the long run!
Here are some ways by which grooming contributes to a healthy pet:
·       Brushing: The most intrinsic part of a dog or cat is one that first shows signs of any illness. For cats, the frequency of brushing depends on the length of their hair. Short-haired cats require a brush once a week, while long-haired cats require a brush daily to prevent matting that may turn painful. The same goes for dogs. It is important to consult your vet regarding the kind of brushes you need and the method to use them. Brushing helps to improve blood circulation to promote healthy hair growth, and to get rid of dead hair, dry skin, and grime.
·       Bathing: One must remember that bathing dogs too often might actually make their skin dry and rough. Bathe them only when they really need one, and be sure to use only a gentle dog shampoo. Cats on the other hand usually don’t need regular baths, notwithstanding the fact that they never enjoy them. Cats usually take care of grooming themselves, but if they get something sticky or dirty on them, a bath becomes necessary. Make the bathing experience as pleasant as possible for dogs and cats as many find it frightening. Offer treats and praise, and make the bathroom a positive environment for them. Proper bathing helps to keep the fur free from ticks, fleas and any other foreign particles that may cause skin irritation.
·       Nail trimming: The moment you hear the clicking on the floor, it is time to clip those nails. While dogs mostly take comfortably to nail clipping, cats are not as favourably disposed towards it. It is best to start clipping at a young age in order to make them accustomed to it and to fear the process less. Clipping their nails regularly prevents ingrown nails and any injury to their feet pads. Never try doing this at home and always take them to the groomer who will use proper tools to cut them.
·       Ear cleaning: The ears of both cats and dogs are immensely sensitive, so it is best to get it done by your groomer who will use professional and hygienic methods to do so. While bathing, remember to insert cotton balls in their ears. Dirt and wax accumulates in their ears over a period of time, and must be cleaned so as to prevent any sort of ear infection or pest infestation.

Grooming not only gives you a chance to interact with your furball closely and form a deep bond; but also to inspect their bodies and discover any small problems that may turn into bigger and more serious ones later. Keeping a close eye on your furball is key to their health. A close relationship with your groomer is also vital, for they are the ones who can guide you through the entire process properly.

Animal Communication

ONE OF THE ANIMAL COMMUNICATION :--

A client  had come to me she can recently lost her cat . She  was just 2 months old and she left her body due to some health issues.

Her name was koko , koko was very close  to the girl and her family and she had gone into depression because of her absence .
I tried to connect with her , she had some problem in her stomach and left the body to come back to her again . She was very happy and missed the girl.
She asked her to keep her toys properly that she would come and play. The feather above the toy was broken and got fixed by itself.
Koko was always around her . We kept on talking to her and she kept on finding if she could find koko anywhere.
One day a same color kitten was available, she was not sure if she should adopt as koko had told her she would come and play with her like they used too.
She got that cat and named her kit- kat. She was amazed how she knew the whole house and how she was eating and doing the same things koko did.
She called me up to speak to kit-kat if she was koko or not.
I was amazed to talk to her that she was koko who had come back into her life and also she was so attached to her .
I had tears rolling that she kept her promise and came back.
She was born just after koko had left body and came to their families life .
Animals are the most beautiful souls on earth and i am so lucky to be an animal communicator . This one of the most beautiful communications i did and wanted to share with all of you...

WHY IS PET GROOMING A NECESSITY AND NOT LUXURY ?

REASONS WHY GROOMING IS NOT A LUXURY, BUT A NECESSITY

While most of the dog owners in this city get their dogs groomed to keep them looking at their very best, but many overlook to see how important proper grooming is. Grooming is an essential part of your dog’s health and well-being. Even a short-coated dog can have a medical condition from the mere lack of grooming. The amount of grooming your pet needs depend on the coat type, but the adequate and basic grooming is  most important for all dogs and cats. You take your pet to professional groomers for they know exactly how to tackle the task. Now, let us see why grooming is important for your pet:

Prevents Fleas & Ticks

Perhaps the main reason to bathe your dog frequently is to prevent the unhealthy infestation of fleas and tick. Although bathing alone is not the answer to get rid of  these nasty pests. Baths with medicated shampoos mixed with essential oils help in completely wiping off any flea or ticks hiding in your pet’s fur. Additionally, it helps prevent any leftover eggs from hatching and starting the cycle again.

Eliminate Discomfort

Grooming eliminates your pet’s discomfort in many innumerable ways. For starters, brushing is something that makes all dogs and cats feel very good. With the right type of brush, your pet will feel like they’re getting a nice massage while you are actually helping them remove the dead hair, stimulate fresh growth of hair and cells, and bring your pup’s natural oils to the surface of their skin. Furthermore, it helps prevent hair matting ( knots) on longer coats. If your pet’s coat does matt very easily, removing those matts will help your pet feel better and healthier. Matting of the hair pulls on the skin and the coat and it is not only painful but often the main cause of many kinds of sores. Removing dirt and debris out of your pet’s coat will also make them feel more comfortable and replenish their skin and coat.

Protect Feet & Joints

Nail trimming is almost certainly one of the most disregarded parts of general dog care. But long nails are not just an eyesore; but they are unhealthy and uncomfortable for your dog as well. Firstly, very long nails force your dog to change their gait. Long nails generally make your dog start walking on the sides of their feet. It is not only painful, but it also causes bone deformities and arthritis if left unnoticed. Some dogs might end up having nails growing all the way into their footpads, which is also extremely painful. No matter how difficult it becomes to trim your dog’s nails, it must be done by all means.

Keeps All Ear Infections Away
Dogs do need their ears cleaned regularly, especially the ones who are prone to ear infections. Dogs and cats have hair inside their ears that often needs to be plucked, even though this is more common in long-coated dogs than others. Still, keeping the inside of your pet’s ears clean will automatically prevent all sorts of ear infections, ear mites and other ailments. Plus, it’ll help your pet feel even more comfortable!

Check for Abnormalities

One of the best benefits of grooming is that you and your regular groomer will become more and more familiar with the marks on your pet’s skin. You will soon be able to feel any underlying lumps and bumps or even spot any changes on your pet’s skin, when something goes wrong with them. Early recognition of any sign of abnormality can be helpful when your doctor is ruling out any disease.

Split Ends
One of the best way for your pet to have  a smooth and long hair without split ends is to get a nice hair trim every two to three months , that not only makes them look nice but also helps them remove the split ends caused due to rubbing their body against walls or floors.

A HAPPY PET IS A HAPPY HOME ALL THESE ARE VALID OF DOGS, CATS, RABBITS ETC .

Animal Reiki is nothing different. It is an energy healing technique that was developed thousands of years ago which is gentle, can be done  with hands on (in person) or from any distances with the same effect and result. It has been adapted into various different names across different cultures in the world, but they are all based on the fundamental concept of receiving the gift of healing energy.

Animal Reiki is proven to heal various types of illness , ailments, allergies. Best of all, Animal Reiki is self-guided and heals so much more.                                                                                             ANIMAL COMMUNICATION

No, it is simply not just talking to animals. It is much more than that! It is a journey of discovering ways to restore a deep relationship with all non human animals.
Human and animal communication creates a resourceful bridge between human and non-human animals. By connecting with our inner intuitions, we are able to engage in meaningful dialogue exchange and we remember how to hear the messages from the ones with whom we share in our lives and our natural environment. By this we can learn to understand about their  wilder relatives and instincts , honour their truths and  opt to live in greater harmony with each other.
Animal communicator Kashika Arora  has been practicing this art for the last 1 year. Kashika’s role is communication, guidance and mentoring pet parents.
She feels that telepathy is the universal language, and her role as a professional animal communicator and animal communication teacher is to help break the misconceptions about it. It is nothing “paranormal” but a normal way of life.  It is simply transforming information from the animal to the pet parent nothing is "psychic" in it.
She is fluent in the universal language of telepathy, and she is passionate about helping everyone to understand their animal friends and to connect deeply with them. Kashika offers animal communication consultations and mentoring. For more details please get in touch with Kashika’s Pampered Paws at 9038043590 or you can email us at arora.kashika@gmail.com
